On a warm sunny day you just might find me with my portable easel painting at one of New York's iconic landmarks, on a subway platform, or in a quiet corner of one of the boroughs.

Upon hearing Steven Cohen bought the Mets, I couldn't wait to set up my easel on the stadium grounds and paint! I have been a baseball fan all my life. My dad used to take us to the Omaha Royals games (KC Royals farm team) when I was 5 years old.

Steven & Alexandra Cohen are one of America's most renowned art collectors.

They bought my "Five Donuts with Coffee" painting  at a Sotheby's auction in 2018.

An annual fundraiser for students at the New York Academy of Art, my alma matter.

The painting on the easel in this picture was sold at another auction, "Deck the Halls" annual holiday fundraiser at NYAA.

December 2020.

As an alumni of the New York Academy of Art, I exhibit and sell my work through their fundraisers including, Sotheby's, Art for Artists, Deck the Halls, the annual Summer Exhibition at Flowers Art Gallery and the Miami Art Fair.

It all started in 1992.  I was living in Brooklyn and had just finished graduate school at the New York Academy of Art six  months earlier.

One cool fall evening I was sitting in the local coffee shop, Fortunatoe's, with my boyfriend from the neighborhood.

He noticed cheap paper santa head cutouts from the drugstore taped to the windows.

In one fell swoop he ripped a santa head off,  held it up to Mike Fortunato's face and said, "Why do you have these cheap things  taped to you windows? It looks tacky! You have a real artist here!  She can paint Christmas on your windows!"

This newly minted New Yorker from a  small town in Nebraska didn't know what to say! However, like most graduates, even today,  I needed to start paying off student loans. This is how the window painting began.

What I thought was a part time gig to pay some bills off ended up being  regular holiday freelance for nearly 30 years.
